The Warehouse Logistics Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of warehouse operations, including inventory management, shipping and receiving, storage, and distribution. They ensure efficient and timely movement of goods, maintain accurate inventory records, and optimize warehouse processes to meet customer demands. The Warehouse Logistics Manager also leads and supervises a team of warehouse personnel, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and achieving operational goals.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Plan and organize warehouse operations, including layout, storage, and inventory management, to maximize efficiency and productivity.
Develop and implement effective warehouse policies and procedures to ensure smooth operations and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Monitor and manage inventory levels, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records of stock and conducting regular stock audits.
Coordinate with purchasing and production teams to ensure timely availability of materials and components for production or shipment.
Oversee the receiving and inspection of incoming goods, ensuring accuracy, quality, and proper doentation.
Supervise the picking, packing, and shipping processes, ensuring orders are processed accurately and delivered on time.
Collaborate with transportation providers to optimize shipping schedules and reduce costs.
Monitor and analyze warehouse performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
Train, coach, and develop warehouse staff, ensuring a skilled and motivated workforce.
Enforce safety protocols and promote a culture of safety among warehouse personnel.
Manage relationships with suppliers, vendors, and other external stakeholders to ensure smooth operations and resolve any issues that may arise.
Stay updated with industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in warehouse management.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Proven experience in warehouse management, preferably in a leadership role.
Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and shippi processes.
Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and other relevant software applications.
Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Effective leadership and team management skills.
