Job Description:
•The individual must be proactive, hardworking and have an eye for detail in order to succeed in this role.
•Produce high-quality garments; must have knowledge of high-end finishings.
•Have exceptional sewing skills and knowledge of tailoring techniques.
•Must have knowledge of a range of sewing equipment.
•Knowledge of understanding technical drawings and translating proportions to real-life garments.
•Ability to communicate with the design team and clients.
•Knowledge of fabric types, colors and fabric care.
•Detail-oriented.
•Must know how to manage time and keep the workspace organized.
•Must know how to grade garments and make alterations.
•Keep a detailed record of daily work and complete day-to-day tasks assigned; ability to meet deadlines
•Fabric research and recommend according to designer’s requirements
•Selection of appropriate interlining according to fabric
•Realization of the 1st draping from the designer’s sketch
•Realization of samples considering production technical constraints (cut, finishing, technical and upgrading solutions)
•Pattern cutti Adaptation and transformation of clothing
•Research of technical solutions according to designs and fabrics
•Alterations after 1st fitting along with the designers
•Completion of the toile and pattern with finishing research
•Following of garment cutting and sewing
•Realization of the final pattern.
•Building padding according to client sizes
