Key Responsibilities:
Assist chefs and kitchen staff with food preparation, including cutting, chopping, and peeling vegetables.
Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas to maintain a high standard of hygiene.
Wash dishes, pots, and pans and ensure they are properly stored.
Handle, label, and store food items in accordance with safety guidelines.
Set up workstations with all necessary ingredients and utensils before food preparation.
Assist with basic cooking tasks, such as grilling, frying, and boiling.
Dispose of kitchen waste and recyclables in a responsible manner.
Restock kitchen supplies and inform the supervisor of low inventory.
Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures.
Assist with maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.
Requirements:
No prior experience required; training will be provided.
A passion for food and a willingness to learn and grow in a kitchen environment.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting.
Physical fitness, as the role may involve lifting and standing for extended periods.
Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines is a plus.
