We are currently seeking a reliable and organized Storekeeper to join our team and ensure the smooth operation of our store's inventory management.

Job Description:
As a Storekeeper, you will be responsible for overseeing the receiving, storage, and distribution of merchandise in our store. You will play a vital role in maintaining accurate inventory records, coordinating with suppliers, and ensuring that products are readily available for our customers. The ideal candidate should have excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to inventory management.

Responsibilities:

Receive, inspect, and verify the accuracy of incoming merchandise.
Label, tag, and properly store products in designated areas.
Maintain accurate inventory records using manual or computerized systems.
Monitor stock levels and anticipate inventory needs to ensure adequate supplies are available.
Coordinate with suppliers for timely deliveries and manage the return of defective or damaged items.
Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile discrepancies with inventory records.
Prepare and process purchase orders as needed.
Ensure proper handling and storage of fragile or perishable items.
Maintain a clean and organized store room, adhering to safety and hygiene standards.
Collaborate with the store management team to optimize inventory control and streamline processes.


Candidate Requirements

Proven work experience as a Storekeeper or in a similar role.
Knowledge of inventory management principles and practices.
Familiarity with retail operations and products is an advantage.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Proficiency in using inventory management software or systems.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical fitness to handle lifting and carrying of heavy items.
Flexibility to work on a shift basis, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
