We are looking for a skilled Electrical Engineer to join our contracting company in Ras Al Khaimah. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing electrical installations, ensuring compliance with electrical codes and regulations, and ensuring that electrical systems are designed, installed, and maintained safely and efficiently. This role requires experience with electrical systems, strong technical skills, and a thorough understanding of local regulations, particularly FEWA (Federal Electricity and Water Authority) standards.
Key Responsibilities:
•Design, install, and maintain electrical systems for residential, commercial, and industrial construction projects.
•Oversee electrical installations, ensuring all work complies with the approved drawings, specifications, and FEWA standards.
•Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and other engineers to ensure timely completion of electrical work on-site.
•Prepare and review electrical system designs, specifications, and layouts to ensure compliance with project requirements.
•Conduct site inspections to ensure electrical work meets safety standards and quality expectations.
•Identify and resolve any electrical issues during installation and operation, providing technical support to the construction team.
•Ensure that all electrical installations comply with FEWA regulations and obtain necessary approvals and certifications.
•Manage the procurement of electrical materials and components, ensuring quality and timely delivery.
•Supervise electrical testing, commissioning, and start-up activities to ensure compliance with technical specifications.
•Maintain accurate records of electrical work and ensure proper doentation for all installations, inspections, and certifications.
•Ensure that electrical safety standards are followed, and work is performed safely on-site.
•Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
•Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of experience as an Electrical Engineer in the contracting industry (preferably in the UAE).
•Certification & License:
oFEWA Certification is required.
oA UAE Driving License is required.
oIf the candidate does not have the FEWA certificate, they can still apply, provided they have relevant experience in electrical systems.
•Skills:
oIn-depth knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and installations in construction projects.
oFamiliarity with FEWA regulations and local electrical codes.
oProficiency in AutoCAD and electrical design software.
oExcellent problem-solving and technical skills.
oStrong communication and teamwork abilities.
oAbility to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks effectively.
oAttention to detail and commitment to quality and safety standards.
